Time With Sig is publishing her 2021 affirmations out loud… gasp! Now, typically I tend to stay on the private side of airing my future aspirations and goals for the new year, however, given Time With Sig hasn’t been spending much time with my guests, I take it we need to catch up!!
Each year, I write down my goals and manifestations for the upcoming year. They say it is important to voice your goals and dreams out loud in the hopes that one day, the universe will hear your cry and grant you your fairy wishes. If you can imagine, it’s sort of like having your very own Fairly ODD Parents (thanks Nickelodeon!) and shouting from the rooftops every time you’ve got a great idea or a wanting for something desirable. There, they come to grant you what your heart desires. Now if someone could send over a pair of fairly odd parents for my enjoyment, it would be much appreciated. Until then, back to reality we go!
It’s no secret, 2020 has been disastrous, lol- to put it calmly. Left and right, up and down, chaos has been everywhere and everyone has been gasping for air, comfort, and some degree of normalcy. This following metaphor will now serve as a guide to newcomers who would like to understand this past year: 2020 is like an overly complicated rubix cube, because no one can seem to find the directions to surviving such a year on their own (although I did read somewhere, it’s best to just keep swimming). #howcomforting #thanks
Being in a tunnel for so long, has one desperately wishing for light. With that said, I have a lot of expectations, aspirations and manifestations that I hope to accomplish, complete and/or start in 2021. Are you ready?

Number #1: Health. One of the most important wishes that I could ask for is my health. 2020 has definitely taught me the importance of remaining healthy, exercising and protecting your peace. This definitely something I will not take for granted!
Number #2: Studying. This one is particularly hard since I would not describe myself as a self-studier, per se. It takes a few rounds to get the hang of it, but eventually it’ll come around in the new year!
Number #3: Travel. Oh how I miss you!!! For this particular number, please picture me screaming from the rooftops, “I want to travel!”. If there’s something I miss more, it’s being able to travel to new places and explore culture and make memories with loved ones. 2020 has definitely taken this privilege from me and I intend on getting it back in the new year. #wishmeluck
Number #4. Learn French. Je m’ appelle Sigourney. Je suis une étudiant Français! Lol. Translational please: My name is Sigourney. I am a French student. Looks like I need some more practice… I’ll work on that one 😉
Number #5. Chase my DREAMS. I mentioned this before in the _______ post, but chasing my dreams are paramount to my very existence. There’s nothing I fear more than not fulfilling my purpose. In 2021, I’m sprinting to my dreams… okayyyy!
Number #6. Faith. When there’s calamity around you, keep the faith! 2021, I will walk in with faith, perseverance and a strong relationship with my God. Spirituality grounds me in humility and purpose and helps me seek my path and not focus on what’s around me.
Number #7. Extracurriculars. When you enter adulthood and the working world, it’s almost immediate that you begin to focus on just that; leaving little room for extracurricular activities and hobbies. This new year I reckon I will have picked back up the piano, chess or another activity to keep me talentful.
And so the countdown begins! You’ve heard it here first, my very own manifestations for the 2021 New Year. During the New Year’s holiday, do you also create a resolution list or some composite of 2020 memories/do’s and don’ts? Please share, I may create more for my own recordkeeping. Of course, everything starts on Monday, lol!
3…….2…….1! Happy New Year!!!!
